Chief Secretary Nagaland, J Alam, IAS and other senior officials of the State Government interacted with the District Task Forces through video conferencing at COVID War Room, Chief Secretary's Conference Hall, Kohima on 26th June 2021.
The Chief Secretary took stock of the situation on COVID status in all the districts particularly on Testing, Vaccination, Rural Surveillance and their recommendations about the extension of Lockdown. He stressed on the urgent need for more testing and intensification of vaccination drive across the State. Therefore, he urged the low testing and vaccination districts to give a concerted effort in ramping up the testing as well as vaccination in their respective districts.
Besides highlighting the problems and difficulties being faced in the districts in the fight against the virus, the DCs also put forth suggestions and recommendations. On which, the CS assured them to take it up to the higher authority for consideration. The CS also asked all the DCs to strictly check the attendance of District Head of Offices and make sure that the officer concerned is in the station for any eventuality at this situation. He also lauded the DTFs and encouraged them to work harder in order to contain the virus.
DGP Nagaland, T. J. Longkumer, IPS asked all the SPs to be more vigilant and make sure that anti-social activities are not carried out around the vicinity of the hospitals. "Security of the medical staff and patients is very important", he said. He also declared that under DEF Longleng, 100% has been vaccinated, for which, a citation alongwith a cash of Rs. 50,000/- were given in appreciation of their good work.
