To acknowledge and honour the students for their outstanding academic performance, Chumoukedima Town Students Union in collaboration with All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) organized a felicitation cum career guidance seminar for HSLC & HSSLC successful candidates on 18th June 2022 at Chumoukedima Town Hall under the theme, " Building the Base".

Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, IAS, speaking as a resource person, congratulated the meritorious students for bringing laurels to the District. He said students are the future of tomorrow and they are the ones who can bring change to our society and urged them to dream and follow their goals.

He advised the students to make reading a habit or priority, as reading helps to let you know more about life, and assess the problems and shortcomings. It can improve one's reactions, decision-making, and creative imagination, he added. He further encouraged the students to have a routine in life and also to include sports and hobbies in life.

Abhinav, through his personal experience, encouraged the students to put in consistent hard work and strong determination to excel and achieve their dreams. He encouraged the students to march ahead with strong conviction and pursue what they believe firmly as the future awaits those who endure hardships and challenges. Teachers play a pivotal role in the holistic development of the students, he urged the teachers to enable students to see dreams and motivate them to achieve their dreams.

Manager, Training & Talent Management, YouthNet, Tsepila Zhimomi, speaking on the topic 'Higher Education & Career Choices', urged the students to keep their vision big and develop skills as per their interests. She said selecting purposeful goals and priorities has the power to put you on track and on time in the journey to success. She advised them to select their goals with careful thought and planning. Zhimomi mentioned that a career is all about finding out who a person is, what he is good at, and what is stopping him from achieving his goals.

President, CTSU congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue their consistency and hard work as it is the only way to success. He appealed to them to never give up on their dreams and always stay on the track no matter what the situation or wherever they may go. He thanked the teachers for their guidance and support for which the results have been a success.

He further informed that in remembrance of Lt . Kuosalhou Shuya, Head GB, Chumoukedima, a cash prize is to be given every year to the highest scorer in HSLC. He thanked DC, Chumoukedima, and his wife for sponsoring a meritorious girl of class 11th from North Town Hr. Sec. School.

A cash prize and a certificate were felicitated to the HSLC and HSSLC toppers by CTSU and ANPSA. HSLC Toppers were - S. Alimen D/o Sentitoshi, HSLC Top-8, with a percentage of 97.17%, from St. Joseph's Hr. Sec School; HSLC Top -11 Alolibo Assumi D/o Tokiye Assumi with a percentage of 96.67%, from Little Flower School, CMD Town; HSLC -Top 17 Mhalo L.Odyuo D/o Liphamo Odyuo with 95.84% from St. Joseph,'s Hr. sec. School; HSLC Top- 20 Shivam Kumar Singh s/o Rajan Kumar with 95.33% from Shekinah School CMD Town.

In the HSSLC Arts category, Top-8, Tianaro Kichu, D/o Sakumeren with 94%, Govt. Higher Sec. School; Top -10 Kikati Yeptho D/o Hekhuyi Yeptho with 93.40,%, North Town Hr. Sec. School, CMD Town.

In the HSSLC Science category, Top-7 Viphrenu Khieya, D/o Kehoshul Khieya with 92.40,%, St. Joseph's Hr. Sec. School; Top-10 Renthunglo Yanthan D/o P. Thungbemo Yanthan with 92.40%, St. Joseph's Hr. Sec. School.

Subject toppers in HSLC were also felicitated- S. Alimen of St. Joseph's Hr. Sec School; Alolibo of Little flower school; Probin Bhitrikothi of Mount Mary Hr. Sec School; T. Waichang Longchamp of Mount Mary Hr. Sec School.

The programme was chaired by Vibeizono Khro. A short speech was delivered by Renthunglo Yanthan on behalf of the toppers.
