On the second day of the Ninth Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly held at NLA Hall, Kohima on 3rd September 2026, Chief Minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio moved the "The Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Eleventh Amendment) Bill 2026”; "The Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Twelfth Amendment) Bill 2026”; The Nagaland Town & Country Planning (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2026” and “The Nagaland Right to Public Services Bill, 2026”.

Minister, P. Paiwang Konyak moved the "The Nagaland Paramedical Council (Repeal) Bill, 2026". All the Bills were unanimously passed.

SPEAKER ADJOURNS 9th ASSEMBLY SESSION SINE DIE

Speaker NLA, Sharingain Longkumer concluded the 9th Session of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly on 3rd September, 2026. He thanked the members for their enthusiastic participation, constructive engagement and valuable contributions.

The Speaker said the two-day session, apart from Question Hour, witnessed the consideration and passage of six Bills, adopted one resolution besides deliberations on various important matters of public interest.

He expressed gratitude to the Assembly Secretariat, police and security personnel, medical team and media fraternity for their support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the session.

Longkumer also conveyed warm greetings to the people of Eastern Nagaland and acknowledged the cooperation of all sections of the House. He expressed hope that the spirit of mutual respect and constructive engagement would continue in future sessions.

The Speaker adjourned the 9th Session of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly sine die bringing the two-day session to a close.
