Land Resources Department Mon organised a culmination programme of PMKSY-WDC erstwhile (IWMP) Batch IV, V & VI on 17th September 2021 at Council Hall, Mon with DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, as the special guest. The DC in his speech thanked the Department for being one of the most effective department in Mon. He urged the people to take every opportunity given by the Government for the maximum benefit of the public. He also urged them to avail all the benefits given by the Agri & Allied Departments and to venture into the cash crops provided by Departments like Land Resources. He further urged the people to conserve and sustainably use the natural resources for the future generations. DPO Land Resources Mon, Biren Chetri gave an overview of the project activities where he highlighted all scopes, aims and activities of the project in all the 38 villages. Watershed Committee Chairman, Jakpang, Chaohong Konyak spoke on behalf of all the watershed committees where he thanked the DPO and all the officers and staffs of the Department for their hardwork and dedication for the successful implementation of the project and expressed their commitment and hope to work together for development in the future. The programme also witnessed the handing over of the Watershed Development Fund to all the 38 beneficiary villages by the Deputy Commissioner.
