The Deputy Commissioner of Chumoukedima has issued a public notice inviting claims and objections from individuals or landowners whose lands fall within the proposed Right of Way (RoW) of the NH-29A (Pimla Junction–Mhainamtsi Stretch).

The notice has been issued in compliance with the order of the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, dated June 3, 2026, in PIL No. 1/2024. The Court directed the Deputy Commissioner to ascertain whether landowners whose lands fall within the proposed Right of Way intend to claim rights over such lands in the future and to submit a compliance report before the Court.

Accordingly, all persons claiming any interest over lands falling within the NH-29A alignment from Pimla Junction to Mhainamtsi in Chümoukedima district have been asked to submit their claims or objections to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice.

Claimants are required to provide Name, address and contact details. Description and location of the land. Nature of the claim or interest over the land. Copies of supporting documents, if any.

A duly executed undertaking stating whether they intend to claim any right over the land falling within the Right of Way in the future.
