Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan officially launched the Ambulance Service at Chumukedima Town Council on 7th June 2021.
DC, Dimapur, during the launching programme expressed appreciation to Chumukedima Town Council for coming up with the noble initiative and for managing to set up an ambulance service in such a short notice. He also thanked Altrura Society for their generosity and Little Hut for coming forward to collaborate with CTC in times of need. He hoped that the ambulance service will go a long way in serving the people of Chumukedima area and also reiterated that the District Task Force is doing its best to ensure that all citizens not just Dimapur town but the entire district to give access to good health care and medical facilities.
The old ambulance was donated by Altrura Society to be used for a time being during the pandemic. According to EAC and Administrator Chumukedima Town Council, Er. Seyiekhrietuo Solo, minor repairs including building a partitioning wall for driver safety was done with the help of 4×4 Attitude and Chumukedima Chamber Commerce and Trade Association donated brand new tires and the Town Baptist Church, Chumukedima also generously donated towards the cause. Little Hut, a delivery service provider has also come forward to collaborate with Chumukedima Town Council in managing the ambulance service.
