DC KOHIMA BANS ALL GAMBLING ACTIVITIES IN KOHIMA TOWN

The Office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima has noticed that some persons/groups of persons have been organizing gambling activities including dice games (Chandi Monda etc.) in and around Kohima Town. Stating that such activities are not only illegal but also create public nuisance and disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the town, Deputy Commissioner Kohima Shanavas C IAS has banned all gambling activities including dice games (Chandi Monda, etc) with immediate effect.

The order has been issued to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in and around Kohima Town and strict action will be initiated against the defaulter(s) as per relevant sections of the law.
