Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has informed to all concerned that any kind of public gathering which have been allowed beyond 50% and upto 100% capacity is subjected to all participants being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or should have taken the first dose or vaccination against COVID-19, and at least fifteen days should have passed since taking the dose in Kohima district.
All passenger vehicles carrying more than 50% capacity and up to 100 % capacity within Kohima district should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or should have taken the first dose of vaccination against COVID-19, and at least fifteen days should have passed since taking the dose, and further subject to adherence to COVID-19 appropriate behavior, particularly wearing or masks. In case none of the vaccination criteria are fulfilled, then the driver (s)/ attendant (s)/ passengers (s) should carry a COVID-19 negative test report taken through either RT-PCR/TrueNat/ CBNAAT with the swab taken for testing not earlier than 72 hours from date of travel.
All vehicles entering Kohima district and all public gatherings within Kohima district will be inspected at any point of time and appropriate action will be initiated against any defaulter(s).
It is also reiterated herein that any persons not found wearing mask in all public places within Kohima district shall be penalized an amount of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred).
Failure to comply with the aforementioned is also liable to penalty as per provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
