Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, on 3rd October 2022, issued an order that due to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various locations of Kohima District, the following areas have been declared as Infected Zones and Surveillance Zones:

1. Infected Zones - Botsa Village (1km Radius of infected premises).
2. Surveillance Zone - 10 km radius from the infected premises (9 km radius outside the infected zone)

The order further issues the following restrictions for strict compliance in the aforementioned locations until further order:-

1. Ban on the slaughter of Pigs.
2. Ban on import and export of Pigs and Piglets.
3. Ban on transportation of Pigs and Pork.
