In Pursuant to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various locations of Kohima district, DC Kohima Shanava C IAS has notified the following areas as Infected Zones and Surveillance Zones.

A.       (i) Infected Zone: Khuzama Village (1km radius of infected premises).

(ii) Surveillance Zone: 10 km radius from the infected premises (9km radius outside the infected zones)

B.        (i) Infected Zone: Chiechama Village (1km radius of infected premises)

(ii) Surveillance Zone: 10Km radius from the infected premises (9km radius outside the infected zones)

The Order also stated the following restrictions to be strictly adhered to in aforementioned locations until further order: Ban on Slaughter of Pigs; Ban on import and export of Pigs and Piglets; Ban on transportation of Pigs and Pork.
