As a preventive measures to control the spread of Noval Corona Virus (COVID-19) and also to ensure the availability of essential commodities to the people the Deputy Commissioner Longleng M. Shayung Phom has directed all the shops and business establishments dealing with groceries and vegetables to open their shops and businesses establishments from 07:00 am to 01:00 pm. All such shops and businesses establishments are directed to compulsorily remain close after and before the aforementioned time period strictly.

The DC in another order further directed all the bakeries and pan shops to remain closed with immediate effect till further order as per the Epidemic Diseases (COVID-19) regulations 2020 under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897.
