In pursuance to the Election commission of India Press Note vide No. ELE/PN/120/2026 and the decisions taken by the ECI of India on 26/09/2026, ECI letter No. 23/2025-ERS(Vol-II) dated 29th September, 2026, the following points are brought to the notice of all concerned.

1. During the SIR, in case of any person to whom notice has been issued during the ongoing SIR for being unmapped and logical discrepancies, BLOs will visit the homes of such persons for collection of documents and thereafter upload them on the ECINet, for decision by the ERO/AERO office. Only in exceptional circumstances, as decided by the ERO, the hearing will be held through the preferable online mode. Any Adult member of the family can be authorized by the elector to attend the hearing on their behalf, if required.

2. District Help Desk has been set up at District Election Office, Tuensang where any person can seek help or assistance with regard to the Special Intensive Revision.

3. The declaration attached to Form 6 for SIR has been upheld by the Supreme Court. For non- SIR period, the forms applicable as per the Registration of Electors Rules 1960 will be used.

All concerned EROs, AEROs, BLO Supervisors, BLOs and electors are informed to take note for compliance on the changes made by the Election Commission to facilitate Election.
