The Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS has informed that in order to avoid hindrance & inconvenience and to ensure the smooth execution of the ongoing Mon -- Tizit road maintenance work the following restrictions/directives is hereby notified for strict compliance by all concerned.

All types of Vehicles including private and public transportation are prohibited from using the Longwa junction to private station traffic point from 6pm to 6am.( This restriction shall be in effect for a period of one week starting from the 3rd Nov 2023).

The public/ vehicles owners are strictly prohibited from parking their vehicles along the same stretch mentioned in the ongoing road maintenance work.

The residents/shop owners along the stretch mentioned above are also directed to remove any hindrances that may obstruct the ongoing project such as water pipes, stone boulders, temporary sheds, construction materials etc along the right of way (ROW) by 4th Nov 2023.

The Ward authorities (GBs & Ward Chairman) of Thamnan Ward, Jahjon Ward, Chingai Ward and Santham Ward are requested to assist the District Administration, Police and the line department of Mon in monitoring the implementation of this order.

In view of the above the public & vehicle owners are requested to co-operate and adhere to this order to ensure successful and timely completion of the said road project.
