DC & Chairman DDMA Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has notify that after inspection conducted on 23rd July 2026, by the experts structural/ Technical committee along with the District Disaster Management Authority Tuensang, ward Officials for demolition of District Transport Office located at Post Office ward.

The Committee observation confirms that the Building has suffered severe structural destabilization due to incessant rainfall rendering it to be structurally unsafe and liable to collapse which directly endangered human life and public infrastructure in the immediate vicinity.

In view of the condition of the building, the DC notified that the District Transport Office Tuensang must vacate the premises immediately within 24 hours of the issuance of this notice. The District Transport Office Tuensang shall be demolished on an Emergency basis to mitigate loss of life and avert secondary disaster impact.

Accordingly, the Disaster Response Force (PWD (Housing)) is authorised to execute this Demolition in consultation with the District Transport Officer within the stipulated urgent Time frame. Entry of Public and unauthorised persons is strictly prohibited during the execution Phase.
