With the announcement of the Bye - Election to the vacant 58 - Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency at Tuensang District by the Election Commission of India through a press note dated 28th September, 2021, Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, issued a press release informing that the Model Code of Conduct comes into force with immediate effect throughout Tuensang District.

The political parties, intending candidates, Government departments /establishments and general public have been informed to take note of the same and adhere strictly to the model code of conduct and extend cooperation to the District Election machinery to ensure peaceful conduct of the said bye - Election.
