With the view of fresh and rapid surge in COVID-19 cases reported in several states of the country, and in pursuance to Order issued by the Home Department vide NO.NSDMA-ER-COVID19/301/2020 (Part-II), Dated Kohima the 8th January 2022, therefore, in the interest of public health and safety, all the earlier orders issued on lockdown measures in force in Wokha District, Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Chairman DTF for COVID-19 Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has partially modified with the following restriction of activities as given hereunder with immediate effect up till the 31st January 2022.

1.      Social, political, religious, entertainment, academic, cultural gathering, and all other kind of public gathering will be restricted and allowed up to 50 % capacity, or up to a maximum of 200 persons, whichever is lower, and subject to all the participant being asymptomatic, and being fully vaccinated(taken both the doses) against COVID-19. In case there is an unavoidable need to have bigger gathering, they may be permitted only after getting express permission of the District Task Force (DTF) and respective Block Task Force (BTF).

2.      Night curfew stands imposed from 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM with effect from 10th January 2022 in the District. However, goods vehicles, vehicles transiting the District without any stopover, movement due to medical and other emergencies, agricultural purpose, and any other movement permitted by the DTF and respective BTF will be exempted from the purview of night curfew.

3.      Malls, shopping complexes, restaurants, gymnasiums, cinema halls/theatres, parks, places of entertainments, recreational areas, etc, will be permitted to open/operate up to 50 % capacity, and all the visitors/staff and all other concerned, should be asymptomatic, and fully vaccinated (taken both the doses) against COVID-19.

4.      Any persons entering the District, above 12 years of age, including those fully vaccinated, will be required to carry a negative COVID-19 test report done through RT-PCR/ TrueNat/CBNAAT with the swab given for testing not earlier than 3 (Three) days of the date of arrival in the District. If the incoming travellers is not carrying a negative COVID-19 test report, or has a negative report, but is symptomatic, or is below 12 years of age and symptomatic, then he/she will be required to undergo testing for COVID-19 at Government approved rates at the point of entry in the District, and the person concerned will be in home/paid quarantine till the declaration of the test result. The aforesaid provisions will come into effect from the 10th January 2022, and the SOP for entry of persons in the State issued vide the Home Department, NSDMA, Kohima notification of even number dated 8th November 2021 (https://nsdma.nagaland.gov.in/sites/default/files/2021-12/notification.pdf) stands modified to this extent.

5.      The physical/offline classes for students studying up to Class VIII stand suspended/ closed till 31st January 2022.

6.      Any students of class IX and above, and who has completed 15 years of age, will be allowed to take admission, or attend regular/offline classes, only if he/she has taken at least one doses of vaccine against COVID-19.

 

Any person violating this order shall be penalised as per the provision of section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under section 188 of the IPC.
