In view of the continued heavy rainfall and resulting landslide in multiple locations under Mon district and flooding in several parts in Tizit and Naginimora sub-division, public are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions.

            The general public is requested to:

            1)      Avoid venturing into Hooded areas and stay away from landslide prone areas.

            2)      Refrain from travelling unless absolutely necessary during the period of heavy rainfall.

            3)      Closely monitor weather updates and follow all instructions issued by the District Disaster Management Authority/District Administration and other competent authorities.

            4)      Ensure safety of children, elderly persons and persons with disabilities.

            5)      Immediately report any emergencies, landslides, flooding, or person in distress to the

            6)      DDMA Mon Contact No. 8974086492 or to the nearest Administrative Office, Police Station, or Emergency Response Team.

            The District Administration is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures. Citizens are requested to remain calm, cooperate with the authorities and avoid spreading unverified information or rumours.
