The Department of Horticulture organized a farewell program in honor of retiring Joint Director, Mesetuonuo Pienyu, after 35 years of illustrious service. The program was held at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Horticulture, Kohima on 31st August, 2021.

Short speeches were delivered by Commissioner & Secretary, Horticulture, Anenla T. Sato, IAS; Director, Horticulture, Dr. R. Elithung Lotha, technical staff, establishment staff and a host of well-wishers, who took turns to express the successful and illustrious career of the outgoing officer. The outgoing officer also wished the Department well and wished all the officers and staff to continue working for the well-being of the farming community.

Vote of thanks was delivered by Joint Director, N. Jerry Patton. The programme was which was chaired by Additional Director, Qhutovi Wotsa and was attended by officers and staff of the Department, along with the family members of the outgoing officer.
