Director Inspector General (DIG) Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) North-Eastern Zone (NEZ) Headquarter, Guwahati, Siddhartha Sankar Sarmah, visited CISF unit station at Doyang Hydro Electric Project (DHEP) under Wokha District on 24th August 2021.
The DIG held a meeting with the DHEP officials and discussed for better coordination between the two entities. While addressing at the Sainik Sammelan, he urged the security unit (Jawans) to maintain healthy body and healthy mind through exercises and urged them to be aware of cultural traits and stay in touched with local community. He encouraged the jawans to be actively involved in the community outreach programme undertaken by the unit to promote peace while calling all jawans to strictly follow the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) while performing their duties.
The DIG visited all the duty post within the plant and had interaction with the jawans. He also inspected the sapling plantation site maintain by the unit mean for community outreach programme.
For the benefit of the local community, the DIG inaugurated two canteens sanrakshika and wet canteen and multipurpose gym. He also participated in a community soccer and badminton match organised by the unit where surrounding villages participated at the exhibition match.
The Director Inspector General was accompanied by Group Commandant, CISF Group HQ Guwahati, Harendra Narayan.
