DIST ADMINISTRATION MON INFORMS ON TOTAL LOCKDOWN DIRECTIVES

Mon District Task Force held an emergency meeting on 26th July 2020 at the DC’s conference hall, Mon. Total lockdown has been enforced in Mon Town from 27th July to 2nd August 2020, in the light of certain emerging circumstances and a view to contain the spread of COVID-19. In this connection, Chumlamo Humtsoe, SDO (Civil) Sadar Mon has notified the following:

1.     Movement of public is strictly prohibited except medical emergencies.

2.     All business/commercial establishments and shops shall remain closed. Pharmacies are exempted.

3.     Movement of private vehicles except those permitted is banned.

4.     Trucks from Assam carrying essential commodities will be permitted only on Monday i,e. 27thJuly 2020.

5.     Not more than 20 persons will be permitted in case of funerals.

6.     No movement will be permitted in or out of Mon Town.

7.     Office of DC, SP, Banks, Fire & Emergency Services, Health & Family Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Power, PHED, Sanitation workers of MTC, Treasury & Accounts, PWD (R&B), Postal Services, Prisons, District Court, IPR, Home Guards & Civil Defence and Para Military Forces are exempted from the purview of this order. The public are requested to kindly comply with this order. Any person found violating this order will be penalised under relevant provisions of the law.
