The District Red Run 2025, an initiative under the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) in collaboration with the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), was successfully conducted on 26th July 2025 at Longleng. The event aims to raise awareness on HIV & STIs among the youth, under the banner “Run for Awareness, Run Against HIV & STIs”.
The run was officially flagged off by Dr. Temsusashi, DTO/DACO Longleng, who encouraged the participants to become ambassadors of awareness and health in their communities.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth aged 17–25 years, categorized into Male, Female, and Transgender (if any), showcasing the district's growing commitment to health advocacy and stigma reduction.
Attractive cash prizes of ₹5000/-, ₹3000/-, and ₹2000/- were awarded to the winners, who will further represent the district at the State/National Red Run level.
The Red Run not only promoted physical fitness but also emphasized the importance of safe practices, regular testing, and the elimination of stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.

1st Anglong V Phom, 2nd A Phekmei Phom and 3rd Katlong Phom
Winners for Female Category:
1st C. Lingoi Phom, 2nd Langmei T Phom and 3rd Chahang
The District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DAPCU), along with other stakeholders, ensured the smooth conduct of the event with adequate medical support and awareness booths in place.
