A meeting of the District Sports Council, Zunheboto, regarding the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026 was held on 16th September 2026 at DC’s Chamber, Zunheboto with Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, IAS chairing the meeting.

The meeting was attended by members of the District Sports Council, including the District Sports Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Education Officer, a representative of the Sumi Games and Sports Association, and presidents of affiliated sports associations.

The meeting discussed matters related to the district’s participation and preparations for the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026. The District Sports Council also reviewed the roles and coordination required among the concerned departments and sports associations for the successful conduct and participation of athletes from Zunheboto district.

The meeting emphasised coordinated efforts among the Sports Department, district administration and affiliated sports associations to facilitate effective participation of sportspersons from the district in the NOPG 2026.
