DoSE INFORMS ON OBSERVATION OF SAMVIDAN DIWAS (CONSTITUTION DAY)

The Directorate of School Education stated that every year 26th November is celebrated as Samvidan Diwas (Constitution Day) to commemorate the day of adoption of the Constitution. This year Samvidan Diwas is going to be celebrated as a part of ‘Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav’.

The President of India will be leading the celebrations of Constitution Day live from Central Hall of Parliament on 26th November 2021 from 11: 00 AM onwards. The occasion will be graced by Vice-President, Prime Minister, Speaker, Ministers, MPs and other dignitaries. The programme will be live streamed through Sansad TV/DD/Other TV Channels and Online Portals.

In this regard, all Schools (Both Govt. & Private) functioning within the State of Nagaland have been directed to conduct mass reading of the Preamble of the Constitution of India along with President on this occasion. Webinars/any other activity befitting the occasion may also be organized on 26th November 2021 while keeping COVID protocols in mind.

Further, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs will be setting up the following two portals so that school children can also participate in these celebrations:

·Portal for reading Preamble to the Constitution in 23 languages i.e., 22 official languages and English. (https://readpreamble.nic.in)

·Portal for “Online Quiz on Constitutional Democracy” (https://constitutionquiz.nic.in)

The above portals will be accessible to everybody to participate and get certificates. Students shall be encouraged to visit and receive the certificates from the above portals.

A Report on the conduct of the mass reading of the Preamble of the Constitution along with few photographs/videos should be submitted at the DoSE Nagaland School Monitoring Portal (https://school.dosenl.in/) through the ‘ Activity Reports’ section before 3:00 PM of 26/11/2021.
