DoSE INFORMS ON PLEDGE TAKING CEREMONY

National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated on October 31st every year to mark the birth anniversary of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year, the celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas also coincides with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. In this regard, Directorate of School Education has informed all schools are to organize a Pledge taking ceremony to mark the occasion as a part of the joint celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. As 31st October 2021 falls on a Sunday, children may NOT be called to school. Pledge-taking can be done virtually, OR on Friday/ Saturday/ Monday i.e 29th/ 30th October or 1st November 2021. The text of the “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge” is given below. A report on the observance of the event should be submitted along with 1 or 2 Photographs/Videos at the ‘Activity Reports’ Tab provided at the Online School Monitoring Portal (https://school.dosenl.in/ ) before 1:00 PM of 2nd November 2021. RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS PLEDGE I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country. (DIPR)
