A coordination cum de-briefing meeting was held in connection with Dzükou forest fire under the chairmanship of Home Commissioner Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha IAS in his office chamber on 11th January 2021. The meeting was attended by Commandant NDRF, Rajesh Thakur; Deputy Commissioner Kohima Mohammed Ali Shihab A; SP Kohima, Manoj Kumar; DFO Kohima, Raj Kumar and ADC Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.

The meeting reviewed the entire operation of Dzükou forest fire which have been extinguished and appreciated all the concerned agencies for assisting in dousing the Dzükou forest fire. The meeting further decided that since there is no fresh fire reported from anywhere in the valley by both the ground and air teams for the past few days, it was decided to request for giving instructions for de-inducting all the IAF Helicopters deployed for dousing the fires.

The meeting also decided that De-induction of five NDRF teams deployed at base camp will be carried out w.e.f 12th January 2021. It was also decided that DEF Kohima, Forest department and SAYO Volunteers will further stationed at the base camp to keep watch and monitor the status for few days. 

SDO Kohima, Daniel Angami from Dzükou base camp reported that de-induction of ground operation team was conducted at the base camp today the 11th January 2021. The India Air Force (IAF) has airlifted the fire fighting equipments of NDRF and SDRF stationed at Dzükou base camp to Jakhama Military Helipad. The fire fighting equipments included NDRF tents, fire fighting suits, batteries and State Forces equipments included two generators, NSDMA lighting tower and batteries. The fire fighting equipments were airlifted by one sortie of IAF Helicopter this morning.
