Advisor Youth Resources & Sports, and Chairman, DPDB Shamator, S. Keoshu graced the Mungmung festival on 4th September 2025 at Public Ground, Longkhim, Tuensang as the special guest.

While addressing the public gathering, Keoshu said that festival is being observed after a yearlong of hard working and urged the gathering to celebrate the festival with true spirit of Mungmung and make cordial relationship with neighbours. He asserted that there was no division amongst the Nagas during the days of our forefathers, but they love each other and lived as one family. Therefore, he urged the Naga People to carry forward the legacy of our forefathers to maintain the same spirit of unity and blessing for all Nagas.

Citing that Sangtam community is more advance amongst the Eastern Nagas, Keoshu urged the Sangtams to lead the Eastern Nagas through their good works with true spirit of unity to move forward. He also urged the people to preserve their rich tradition and culture practices for the future generations.

Solidarity speeches were pronounced by President, Ao Senden, Marsenen, and President of KTC, Ngon. Special number was presented by OTC, Yangli.

The highlights of the celebration includes folk dance presented by male cultural troupes from Phir Ahi Village, Chimonger Village,  Chungtor Village,  Tronger Village and Tsungti Mulung Sinrep Village. While female cultural troupes performed folk dance by Kiding Village, Angangba Village,  Tsaru Village and Holongba Village.

Womenfolk demonstrated on clearing of fields and traditional millet harvesting was followed by traditional games of bamboo clamping, Khuling dhe mulitanung, and Stilt Bamboo Race. Welcome address was delivered by Convenor Planning Committee, Thsapongchem, and invocation by Pastor, ABC, Longkhim, Toshi Longkumer.
