First batch of 11 stranded people has arrived Kiphire on 19th May 2020. The returnees were from Shillong, Mariani, Guwahati, Nagaon, Itanagar and Pfutsero respectively. Among the 11 returnees two females and nine males.

Later screening of the returnees was held at Helipad ground Kiphire and were safely deported to quarantine centres Zasaji Presidency Government College and DUDA girls Hostel for the quarantine.
