Mmhonlumo Kikon, the sitting BJP MLA from 40 Bhandari A/C Wokha, filed his nomination paper on 7th February 2023 at the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s and Returning Officer 40 AC Bhandari, Rohit Singh. He was accompanied by Union Minister of State, Rajeev Chandrashekar and National Spokesperson, BJP, Nalini Kholi.

Chenithung Humtsoe, the intending Congress candidate and John Ovung, Independent candidate were the other two candidates who filed their nomination papers.

NPF candidate, Achumbemo Kikon and NPP candidate, Tsungro Kithan filed their nomination papers on 6th February 2023.
