On 30th August 2023, a funeral service to honor the memory of Lt. Noke Wangnao, Advisor of Social Welfare, was solemnly conducted at the Helipad in Mon Town. The event saw participation from various organizations and individuals who paid their respects through speeches and tributes.

During the service, heartfelt speeches were delivered by numerous entities, including the Konyak Union, Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong, Konyak Students Union, Konyak Elected Members, Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mon District, NDPP Mon Region, Mon District Gaon Bura Association, Mon District Football Association, Mon Union - Mon Town & MVSU Mon Town, Konyak Gazetted Officers' Union, Chi-Mon Land Owner Association, BJP Mon District, Konyak Union Mon Unit, Social Welfare Department, Walo Ward, Family Members, and Relatives. A funeral hymn was performed by the Women's Organization of NDPP 43 A/C Tapi.

In his condolence message, Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit KV, IAS expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Lt. Noke Wangnao, acknowledging his significant leadership qualities. He conveyed condolences on behalf of the District Administration, police, and various departments within the district. Condolence messages from former DC Mon, RS Pandey, and Bangkash were also read out. The President of Mon Town and MVSU Union, in his tribute, hailed Lt. Noke Wangnao as a man of unwavering truth, integrity, humanity, and reverence for elders. The leader of BJP Mon Region shared a condolence message received from Deputy Chief Minister, TR Zeliang, and Minister, Temjen Imna Along.
