Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, visited Tseminyu District on 28th March 2023 and held meetings with department officers and civil societies at DC conference hall, Tseminyu. He expressed happiness on visiting Tseminyu, one of the newest districts in Nagaland.

As a new district, the people have lots of aspirations and hopes reposed on all of you as responsible officers heading the various government departments in the district, the Governor said further calling upon all to be sincere and dedicated to give the best service to the people.

The Governor said that we have come a long way since statehood in terms of education, health, road connectivity, telecommunication, standard of living etc but we still have a very long way to go before we catch up with other states of the country. The people of Nagaland should also enjoy the fruit of development like the rest of the people of the country. And it is the duty of every government agencies and the departments to work hard and ensure that every citizen of the country enjoy the fruit of development, he added.

The Governor called upon the district administration to ensure that the flagship programmes or the central government are diligently and earnestly implemented for the welfare of the people. Centrally Sponsored schemes like the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Poshan Ahhiyan, Ayushman Bharat, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan & Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY), PM Kisan to name a few are all implemented by the Central government for the welfare of the poor and the needy. He said that development should not be reflected only on paper.

He also requested the Deputy Commissioner of the district to have periodic reviews of the various schemes and programmes and take necessary action to meet the goals and targets if there are any shortfalls.

The Governor interacted with civil societies, Rengma hoho, Rengma women Association Rengma Selo Zi. Memorandums were submitted to the Governor which he assured to look into the issues while requesting the public to co-operate with the government for development.

Governor also visited Chunlikha Village under Tseminyu District therein the apex body of Kithagha public organization President, Khinyi Woch submitted memorandum to the Governor with a request to intervene in creation of EAC HQ, upgradation of GHS Chunlikha to GHSS, upgradation of health care facility etc. Another memorandum was also submitted with a request to take up various activities for the development in the area.

Governor expressed happiness on the maintenance of cleanliness, water supply, health care sector etc. He said that participation of women is the most important to bring change in the society.

DC Tseminyu Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi expressed gratitude on the visit of the Governor to see how the village is taking up various activities in Chunlikha Village. The Governor later visited health wellness centre at Chunlikha and interacted with Doctors and staffs.
