For the first time, the Great Escape of Mahindra Adventure was held as part of the Hornbill Festival. The Great Escape, Hornbill Edition was organized by the Global India Expeditions and Mahindra Adventure.

The off-road adventure was flagged off by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Development Commissioner, Amardeep Singh Bhatia, IAS at Apex Motor, Meriema, Kohima

on 9th December 2022. Bhatia urged the participants to explore the villages and hoped that in the future, the interior parts of Nagaland will also be explored. He also hoped more off-road adventures will be organized. Bhatia also called upon drivers to drive responsibly.

Various Mahindra SUVs took part in the off-road adventure where they crossed multiple villages including Khonoma, Mezoma, and Jotsoma. The event was organized to promote tourism and rural Nagaland through off-road adventures. This is the fourth time that the Great Escape has been organized in the State.
