The Home Department through a notification has declared the day of polling i.e. 28/10/2025 (Tuesday) for Ward-11 (Zhipa) under Pfutsero Town Council as Paid Holiday for all the employees of the State Government and Central Government registered as electors in the E-roll under the said Ward to enable them to participate and exercise their franchise. This shall also apply to all such categories of employees who are enrolled as electors under Ward-11 (Zhipa) of Pfutsero Town Council but are ordinarily residing or working in another ward area.

Further, under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Act, XXVI), the day of polling is also declared as Paid Holiday for all the employees of Banks and Financial Institutions in Nagaland who are registered as electors in the aforesaid Ward to enable them to exercise their franchise.

Furthermore, under Section 10 of Nagaland Shops and Establishment Act 1982, all such shops and Commercial Establishments under Pfutsero Town Council owned/managed/run by persons registered as electors in the said Ward shall remain closed during the polling hours on the polling day to enable such electors to exercise their franchise.

The above provisions, however, shall not apply to any elector whose absence may cause danger or substantial loss in respect of the employment in which he/she is engaged.
