Aboi Hq celebrated Independence Day at the public ground in Aboi. The special guest for the occasion was Manpon Konyak, MLA of the 47th Assembly Constituency, Aboi. He hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech. He took the salute from eleven contingents: 11th NAP (IR) Bn Aboi, Langmeang Village Guard, GHSS NCC contingent, GHSS Students, Wangka High School, St. John School, Longshang Memorial High School, Emmanuel High School (Boys), Emmanuel High School (Girls), Paramount High School and Government Middle School (GMS)

The parade was reviewed by Kumtsu Yimchunger, NPS, Adjutant 11th (NAP) IR Bn, Aboi. The National Anthem was sung by St. John Higher Secondary School, and there was a special performance by Government Polytechnic Aboi, as well as a choreography by Longshang Memorial High School. Cultural folk songs were presented along with Folk Dance.

The event also included the inauguration of stalls organized by various departments under the surveillance of the newly installed CCTV from the police station in Aboi. The celebration drew a large crowd, consisting of various Government Departments, NGOs, and the public from the village and its surrounding areas.
