Independence Day was celebrated at the ADC headquarters in Akuluto, under Zunheboto District. T.N. Manen, IAS (Retd), Advisor for Land Revenue, Law, and Justice, Government of Nagaland, hoisted the tricolor, followed by the National Anthem. The parade contingents consisted of 8th NAP F. Coy Akuluto, NCC units from GHS Akuluto (boys and girls), Hillto Children Home School, Royal High School Akuluto, and St. Clare High School Akuluto.

The program was enhanced by cultural presentations, including folk songs from STH Akuluto, patriotic dances by JNV Zunheboto students, and a captivating patriotic dance by St. Clare High School Akuluto. Notably, Hillto Children Home School presented an exceptional cultural dance representing the Sumi Naga culture.
