A program for distribution of bicycles to girl students was held at the Office of the Border Magistrate, Tzurangkong, Mokokchung on 10th December 2025.

A total of 20 bicycles were distributed to 20 girls from GHS Tzurangkong and the criteria of selection included distance from the school, student's academic performance in the last exam among others. The entire initiative was undertaken by the Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung (DC) in coordination with AGM(CSR) and Regional Manager, RBO Mokokchung with an aim to support education in remote parts of Mokokchung District.

The initiative was greatly appreciated by the people of Tzurangkong range. Tzurangkong Senso Mungdang, TKM, faculty and teachers of GHS Tzurangkong, students and parents of the students who received the bicycles expressed their utmost gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung for the initiative and for giving due importance to the student community of this remote and under developed region of Mokokchung District.
