The Ministry of Education, Government of India, under the Samagra Shiksha Nagaland has selected two meritorious students who have passed out their HSLC from Government Schools and are pursuing science stream in Government Schools from Nagaland. The students are Shethilu Medeo from Ruzhukhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima and Iris Zomawii Lushai from Chumoukedima Government Higher Secondary School, Chumoukedima.
The Sakura Science High School Program (SSHP) is a Youth Exchange Program in the field of Science. It is a prestigious initiative by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), supported in India through the Ministry of Education (MoE). The program aims to foster scientific curiosity, cultural exchange and international collaboration among exceptional high school students.
Gihukali Sema, PGT Chumoukedima Government Higher Secondary School, Chumoukedima has also been selected as their supervisor.
The SSHP 2025 Japan will commence from 13th June till 21st June. This 7-day program will be sponsored by the MoE, GoI and will include visits to schools, universities and various technological and cultural sites in Japan. The students will also participate in certain activities and deliver brief presentations.
