Along with the rest of the Country the 79th Independence Day was celebrated at Changtongya Sub-Division, Mokokchung with SDO (Civil) Changtongya, Nukshimatong as the Chief Guest.
The Independence Day Programme started with hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Salute Presentation by OC Police Station Changtongya, National Anthem was presented by the Students of St. John School, Changtongya followed by Independence Day speech by the Chief Guest.
