In observance of World Environment Day and as part of the government's monsoon preparation exercise, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tening, K. Furhesie Nyuwi has announced that a mass social work will be organized throughout the entire Tening subdivision on 5 June 2025, beginning from 6 am onwards. The government department / bodies/ local authorities listed below are instructed to make the necessary arrangements, provide the necessary guidance, and guarantee the active participation of their citizens in this regard.

The Tening Town council's and Assistant Urban Development officer is responsible for maintaining urban roads and clearing out drains in Tening Town, and SDO (R &B) Tening - clearance of all PWD roads and drains. The Tening Town Council for clearance of drains within Tening Town/ cleans all urban body roads / issue circular to ensure active participation of residents from all wards.

All village council chairmen under Tening subdivision ensure wide publicity and ensure active participation of all villagers in the social work in their respective villages. All government department and educational institutions are directed to organize the same in their respective offices. The official from District administration will carry out the inspection during the social work.

Head of Offices, heads of educational institution, chairperson of Tening Town Council, Village Council Chairmen shall submit action taken report along with photograph via WhatsApp to 6909870941/9402810486. The Heads of Offices are further directed to submit staff attendance of their respective offices during the social work.
