The Deputy Commissioner of Chumoukedima, Polan John, NCS, has informed that a state-level mock drill will be conducted in the district on 30th April 2026, from 9:00 A.M, as part of disaster preparedness initiatives.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the exercise is being carried out to enhance emergency response systems and improve coordination among various departments and agencies in the event of a disaster.
All residents of Chumoukedima were urged not to panic during the drill, emphasizing that it is only a simulation designed to test preparedness and response mechanisms during disaster.
The district administration has sought the cooperation of the public and requested citizens to remain calm and extend support to officials and emergency responders during the exercise.
