Through an official notification, the Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak has warned that it has come to the notice of his office that some organisations and individuals are in the habit of selling badges Coupons, calendars and conduct of Lotteries in violation of the government ban order which is causing inconvenience to the general public within the district.

It may be noted that the State government had imposed a ban on such activities Vide Home Department (General Administration Branch-II) Order No. GAB/GEN/7/26/97 dated Kohima the 25th September 2000.  Hence stern action shall be initiated against any person indulging in such illegal activities.
