Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, P. Mono Khiamniungan in an advisory issued on 2nd June 2025 stated that, in view of the monsoon season, it is important to take precaution and stay informed about potential risk and safety measures. As per the power vested under Disaster Management Act, 2005 section 26(2) and section 30 (2) (v), DC & Chairman DDMA, Noklak P. Mono Khiamniungan has issued the following advisory to ensure safety and well-being of the public:

(a) Stay informed: Keep yourself updated weather conditions and forecast.
(b) Avoid flooded areas: During heavy rainfall avoid wading through flooded waters and be extra cautious when crossing bridges or moving near water bodies.
(c) Be cautious while travelling: Exercise caution while travelling, especially on road that are prone to flooding or landslide. If encountered heavy rains and reduced visibility, consider postponing your journey until the weather improves.

(d) Avoid travelling at night: Public are advised not to travel at night during monsoon season.

(e) Stay away from power lines: Be aware of the presence of electrical power lines and avoid approaching them, especially in wed condition. Report any fallen or hanging power lines to the concerned authorities.

(f) Look out for vulnerable individuals: Keep an eye on the elderly, children and people with special needs and extra required assistance.

(g) Report emergencies: In case of any emergency or hazardous situation, contact the concerned authorities immediately.
