Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Disaster Management Authority Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, has issued an advisory information notice stating that due to the onset of the monsoon, occasional heavy rainfall is expected in lowlands and foothill areas of Phek district which may occur water logging, flash floods, landslides and rising water level in rivers and streams in the catchment areas. 

Therefore, general public are advised to refrain from venturing out to the river banks for picnic, fishing, etc. 

Further, all concerned Area Administrative Officers/Heads of the Departments/ Village Disaster Management Authority/ Village Council Chairmen/ Head GBs/ Ward Authorities are to be on standby to attend any emergencies resulting from natural calamities, disaster during the current monsoon season.
