Pursuant to the approval of the Government of Nagaland, Home Department, vide Letter No. POL-B/SWR/ESTT-01/01/25 dated Kohima, the 11^th April 2025, the Directorate of Sainik Welfare & Resettlement, Nagaland and ZilaSainik Welfare Office invites applications along with all the relevant documents from Ex-servicemen - eligible retired Army, Navy and Air Force personnel below officers rank (PBOR) so as to reach the undersigned by 16^thJune 2025 for re-employment against the post of Driver in the Directorate of Sainik Welfare & Resettlement, Nagaland and ZilaSainik Welfare Office:

 

1. Specific Rules Applicable.     The selection and service of the Post of driver shall be governed by Rules/ Guidelines of the Directorate of Sainik Welfare & Resettlement Government of Nagaland letter No. HOME/SSA/8/81(Pt) dated 29^th Feb 2016.
2. Reservation of Ex-servicemen.     All posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen who come under the definition as given in the official Notification.
3. Character and Antecedent.     The candidate should have a clean record of character and antecedents during and after service in the Defence Forces and should not have been involved in any criminal case in any manner which should be certified to such effect in their application. Details/simple verification as the case may be done from both Civil and Defence authorities in respect of those candidates selected for appointment. 
4. Age Limit.     The candidate should not be more than 50 years of age. 1st January 2025 will be the crucial date for reckoning the age eligibility of the applicants.
5. How to Apply.     Simple application in plain paper with following details and documents may be submitted to the undersigned so as to reach by 4 P.M. on 16^th June 2025:

(a) No, Rank, Name, Regiment, present and permanent address. 

(b) Dates of enrolment and retirement with reason. 

(c) Photocopy of Release/ Discharge Certificate Book and PPO. 

(d) Other requisite information specified in this Notification. 

(e) Bio data and all relevant documents. 

(f) Should hold a valid Driving Licence.

(g) Should have minimum 15 years of driving experience; MT Drivers and in light vehicles shall be given preference.

(h) Enquiry regarding result of application will not be entertained and canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

7.  Method of Selection.

(a) Applications will be scrutinised and short listed and only eligible candidates approved by Directorate of Sainik Welfare & Resettlement Kohima, shall be called for interview for selection before the Selection Board. The date and place shall be decided by the Directorate. Such candidates are required to produce original documents at the time of interview (driving test will be conducted to assess suitability). 

(b) There is no reservation policy and only willing and eligible Ex-servicemen coming under the definition of Ex-servicemen will be employed. Local Ex-serviceman candidates shall be given preference. 

(c) Placement and appointment of the selected candidates shall be as per the requirements of the Directorate and appointment/ placement may be in any of the District Offices. 

(d) No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the Interview and Selection Board.
