The Directorate of School Education has informed that the advertisement for admission of boys and girls to Class VIII in Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, Entrance test for July 2026 term to be conducted on 07th December 2025 (Sunday).
Both boys and girls are eligible to apply for admission to the RIMC, Dehradun. The candidates should be in the age bracket of 11½ to 13 years as on 01st July 2026, i.e., they should not be born earlier than 02 July 2013 and not later than 01 January 2015.
Candidates should either be studying in Class VII or should have passed Class VII from any recognised school at the time of admission to the RIMC i.e. 1st July 2026.
The written part of the examination will consist of three papers namely Mathematics, General Knowledge and English. The Mathematics, General Knowledge and English papers will be conducted between 0930-1100hrs, 1200-1300hrs and 1430-1630hrs respectively on 7th December 2025(Sunday). The date for the interview will be intimated at a later date only for those candidates who qualify in the written exam.
Prospectus cum Application Form and booklet of old question papers can be obtained by making online payment on https://admission.schoolmitra.com/#/admission/newEnquiry/6396eff3fc26e41841a5afd6 or speed post by forwarding self addressed slip and an account payee bank demand draft of Rs 600/- for General Candidates and Rs 555/- for SC/ST Candidates. The Demand Draft will be made in favour of “THE COMMANDANT, RIMC FUND”, DRAWEE BRANCH, HDFC BANK, BALLUPUR CHOWK, DEHRADUN, (BANK CODE -1399), UTTARAKHAND.
Application on prescribed format accompanied by 2 passport size photographs, Domicile Certificate, Photocopy of Aadhar Card (both sides), Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation, ST/SC Certificate and original Certificate from the Principal of the current school with photograph attested stating the date of birth and class in which the candidate is studying should be submitted to the Directorate of School Education by 15th October 2025.
