In the interest of public service and in order the Governor of Nagaland is pleased to constitute A standing High Powered Committee Governing Body for the Hornbill Festival has been constituted to provide overall policy, direction, inter-departmental coordination, and strategic oversight, with the following composition:

 

1. Hon'ble Chief Minister : Chairman

2. Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister (Planning & NH) : Member

3. Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister (Home & BA) : Member

4. Hon'ble Minister (Tourism& HE) : Member

5. Hon'ble Minister (Horticulture & WRD) : Member

6. Hon'ble Advisor (Art &Culture) : Member

7. Hon'ble Advisor (Industries& Commerce) : Member

8. Advisor to Hon'ble Chief Minister : Member

9. Chief Secretary : Member Secretary

10. Finance Commissioner : Member

11. Development Commissioner : Member

12. Commissioner & Secretary (Tourism) : Member

13. Secretary (Art & Culture) : Member

14. Secretary (Industries & Commerce) : Member

15. Secretary (Horticulture) : Member

16. Chairman (TaFMA) : Member

 

The Role of the High Powered Committee will be as under:

  1. Provide strategic vision and policy guidance.
  2. Ensure inter-departmental convergence.
  3. Approve major strategic initiative, partnership and frameworks.
  4. Monitor progress against defined outcomes.
  5. Allotment of site.
  6. Monitor the rates for materials sold and events.
  7. All policy decisions.

Further, amongst the members of the HPC, a Convenor and Festival Director for the Hornbill Festival shall be appointed.

The HPC in addition to above will also oversee the CSRs, Sponsorship received for the Hornbill Festival. The decision to hold any event for promotion of music, culture and related activities in the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama during the period other than Hornbill Festival will also be approved by the HPC.
