As a part of the 25th Years Celebration of Hornbill Festival, the 2nd Tribal Go-Karting Competition organized by Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Nagaland under Tribal Affairs Department was held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Road on 6th December with 15 tribes participating in the competition.

The competition was organized to bring back the memories of the yesteryears where children played or raced with wooden karts as they had no means to bicycles or tricycles and the participants in the event also competed in such wooden karts. The youngest participant in the event was Kevisede Dzuvichu aged 14 years from the Angami Tribe.

In the competition, the Khiamniungan Tribe was declared champion while the Lotha Tribe and Pochury Tribe were declared the first and second runners-up. All the winners were awarded with certificate and cash prize.
