The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan was launched nationally by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17th September 2025 which will be extended till 2nd October 2025 from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. And under Nagaland, the District Health Society Longleng also participated in the nationwide launching programme of SNSPA health camps at the District Hospital, Longleng on 17th September 2025, with special guest Deputy Commissioner Longleng, W. Manpai Phom NCS. 

During the Launching programme Medical Superintendent DH Longleng, Dr. Lanuakum, in his key note address extended that this nationwide campaign will transform women’s health and family well-being through free medical checkups, immunization and anaemia testing, tuberculosis and cell anaemia checkups, malaria testing and special consultation for women. Alongside, the campaign promotes nutritional and wellness practices, infant and young child feeding, menstrual hygiene awareness. He also highlighted the aims and objectives of the campaign.

Chief guest, DC Longleng, W. Manpai Phom NCS in his speech delivered that this Swashth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan initiated by the central ministry is expected to significantly improve key health indicators, particularly by reducing the maternal mortality rate through comprehensive health checkups, screening, testing and Immunization provided at this health camps, which aims to address gaps identified in national health surveys and to enhance healthcare access in urban and rural areas by deploying specialist medical services ensuring better health outcomes for women and children across Longleng district. He further extend his supportive involvement from the administration and the line departments and also requested the community participation for successful implementation of the campaign within the district.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by DSRC, counsellor DH Longleng, M. Lithei Phom, while invocation was pronounced by Vaccinator DH, LLG, Lipom N, and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Nounenuo Terhase OBGYN, DH, LLG followed by Health Camp at District Hospital, Longleng and conduct of Focused Group Discussion (FGD) on Menstrual hygiene, family planning, Anaemia, maternal health, child health and importance of breastfeeding.
