The Home Department, Political Branch, Government of Nagaland has notified on the invitation for consideration of the award of Governor’s Gold Medal and Commendation Certificates on the occasion of Republic Day, 2026 (26th January 2026).

            It requested that the recommendations, if any be submitted latest by 15th December, 2025 (Monday), as per the following guidelines.

            Details of candidates recommended as per the format given in Annesure-A.

            Precise recommendations citations in narrative form should not exceed one page (A4 sire)

            Recommendations/Citation in respect of Gazetted Officer; shall be submitted through the concerned Head of Department and the Administrative Head of Department shall duly sign and forward the same to the Special Secretary Home Department.

            Recommendations/Citation in respect of Non-Gazetted Staff, the Head of Department shall sign and forward it to the Special Secretary, Home Department.

            In the case of Police/Home Guards/Prisons and Fire Services, the recommendations shall come through their respective Director General Heads of the Department to the special Secretary, Home Department.

            In respect of NGOs, individuals, and employees working under the Establishment of the Deputy Commissioners, the Deputy Commissioners shall submit the recommendations to the Commissioner, Nagaland, who in turn shall sign and forward them to the Special Secretary, Home Department.

            6 (six) copies of Recommendations/Citation duly signed by the recommending authority should be forwarded along with a soft copy (Word format).
