Aligned with the vision of the Fit India Movement, the Office of the Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Nagaland, in collaboration with the District Administrations, will be organizing the Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 across all districts of Nagaland, commencing from 29th October 2025.

In a press release, Tenyebinlo Himb, Press Secretary to S. Phangnon Konyak, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Nagaland, informed that the initiative reflects the MP’s deep commitment to empowering youth and promoting a vibrant sports culture in the State.

The Sansad Khel Mahotsav aims to identify and nurture promising sporting talents at the grassroots level, while encouraging wider participation in both indigenous and mainstream sports. It also seeks to instil the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance among young people, qualities that lie at the heart of nation-building.

Speaking on the occasion, the Press Secretary stated, “The Sansad Khel Mahotsav embodies the MP’s vision of creating more avenues for the youth of Nagaland to shine, both within and beyond the State. Through this platform, she hopes to inspire a culture where sports are celebrated not just as competition, but as a way of life that promotes unity, health, and confidence.”

He further conveyed Phangnon Konyak’s appeal to athletes and sports enthusiasts across Nagaland to participate actively with dedication, discipline, and determination, and to make the most of this opportunity to represent the sporting spirit and youthful energy of Nagaland.
