The Office of the District Economics and Statistics Officer and the District Registrar of Births and Deaths, Wokha has announced a special drive for the online registration and digitization of old manual Births and Deaths Certificates across all registration units in the district. The drive will be conducted from 5th February to 20th February 2026.  

All village registrars have been instructed to ensure effective implementation of the drive in their respective jurisdictions. The initiative aims to modernize record-keeping, improve accessibility, and strengthen the reliability of vital statistics.  

Registrars are directed to complete the online registration and digitization of all old manual Births and Deaths Certificates and to submit daily progress reports to Lothungbeni Humtsoe, Field Investigator, via mobile number 8256982892.  

The District Office has urged all registrars to take necessary steps to ensure the success of the drive, emphasizing that the initiative is being undertaken in the larger public interest.
